The Tim Rogers produced Dirty Deeds soundtrack was released in July 2002. The soundtrack to the David Caesar (Idiot Box, Mullet) film features 2 You Am I tracks: Draggin’ Yer Bones and Calendar Eyes as well as 3 Tim Rogers penned tunes with Bernard Fanning (Powderfinger) and Billy Thorpe on vocals and You Am I providing the music. The remainder of the album is made up of classic Australian Covers from late 60s (the same era as the films setting). Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) sings on the Easybeats classic Made My Bed, Gonna Lie In It and Tex Perkins rips through the AC/DC cover of the title track with You Am I again providing the music.
Tim Rogers teams up with Lisa Miller on Losin’ My Blues Tonight, and Jody Bell helps them out on Washboard Rock & Roll. Other Acts to feature on the soundtrack include Grinspoon, Palladium, Dallas Crane, Powder Monkeys, Daddy Cool and The Loved Ones. You Am I even feature in the film as the entertainment in a psychedelic 60s nightclub!

better than sex

Soundtrack to the Australian film Better Than Sex. The film stars David Wenham and Susie Porter and was nominated for 8 AFI Awards. The You Am I song included here is Open All Night. A video for the song features the band playing in a cinema with raunchy scenes from the film on the screen in the background. Open All Night was originally titled Dress Me Slowly and can also be found on the Damage single.


cold live at the chapel

Compilation of live performances taken from the popular television series Cold Live At The Chapel. A sensational version of Cathy's Clown is featured here from You Am I's electrifying set. Other artists featured on the CD include: Foo Fighters, Killing Heidi, The Whitlams, Fuel and Live.


i spy for the fbi

A fund raising compilation for Sydney's alternative community radio station FBi 96.1FM. Features a previously unreleased studio demo of the You Am I track 'Round Ten. The CD also features tunes from 78 Saab, The Whitlams, Front End Loader, Frenzal Rhomb and Nitocris.



Profits from this CD go towards Kids Help Line, a national phone counseling service for young people aged between 5-18. You Am I contribute an acoustic version of the song The Choices That I've Made. A full band version of this song appears on the Saturday Night 'Round Ten bonus disc, Ignorance and Vodka.


i'm in love... with that song

An all-Australian tribute album to one of Tim's favourite bands of all time - The Replacements. Features a great selection of Aussie bands such as Even, John Reed Club, Ice Cream Hands and a solo Brad Shepherd doing Replacements covers. You Am I contribute the tune White And Lazy, which was also later released on the Kick A Hole In The Sky single.


idiot box

Soundtrack to the 1997 Australian comedy Idiot Box, which stars Ben Menelsohn and Jeremy Sims as westies Kev and Mick. The soundtrack was produced by Tim Rogers and Nick Launay, and Tim was also responsible for choosing the bands and some of the classic Aussie covers that appear on the album.
You Am I contribute the majority of tunes on the album including Cats And Dogs, Gasoline For Two and Television Addict which was originally done by The Victims - Dave Faulkner from the Hoodoo Gurus' first band. You Am I also perform three instrumental tracks: Idiot Box I, Idiot Box II and Idiot Box III and Tim Rogers performs backing vocals on the Hoss tune Winter Salsa. Degenerate Boy by The Mark Of Cain was the only single released from the album and You Am I cover The Beasts Of Bourbon track Dropout as the B-side.
Other bands that appear on the album include Snout, Magic Dirt and Crow.

recovery - hits from the backdoor

Double album of live recordings from the once mighty Saturday morning ABC TV show Recovery. You Am I perform a blistering version of The Clash song Janie Jones which is strangely credited as Forget It Sister, the hidden track from Hourly, Daily. Other bands that feature include Spiderbait, Pollyanna and silverchair.


used & recorded by triple r - vol 2

You Am I contribute an awesome performance of Baby Clothes to this live compilation. It was taken from a concert performed in 1996 around the time of Hourly, Daily's release. The concert was broadcast on the Melbourne community radio station Triple R. Other songs from that same concert appear on the hard to find Good Mornin' cassingle.

Features How Much Is Enough from You Am I's Live At The Wireless performance recorded just after the release of Hi Fi Way. A second Triple J live CD was later released called Lust For Live which features Rumble taken from their 1998 Live At The Wireless set recorded around the time #4 Record was released.
